Advent and Christmas at St. Als-St. Pats School

The weeks before Christmas at St. Als St. Pats School were filled with anticipation and activity! The children learned the meaning of Advent and experienced hopeful waiting for the Christ Child. In the spirit of generosity and Christmas kindness, every class adopted a needy family and collected gifts so that the joy of Christmas giving could be for everyone, no matter what their current circumstance.  Others also contributed household items for these families. The students in Preschool through grade 5 and the Liturgy Choir spread Christmas joy with their beautiful program of Advent and Christmas music. The band students also performed a Christmas concert for parents and friends. Children enjoyed shopping with the elves----an experience hosted by our FSA that allowed the kids to select and purchase gifts that they could surprise their loved ones with on Christmas morning. Finally, the children celebrated with their classmates at parties hosted by their room moms.
