Foreign Language
Spanish class is facilitated at St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School with the use of the Fun Fluency curriculum and other supporting materials. Students in grades 2 through 8 study the Spanish language and culture. They have class once per week in grades 2-5 and twice per week in the junior high grades 6-8. There is emphasis on vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension and speaking. For the 2023-2024 school year we are partnering with Fun Fluency. We will be utilizing their curricular resources. We are also very excited to introduce our new Spanish teacher, Maestra Zaid. She is a native Spanish speaker and brings an extensive background in teaching Spanish to a variety of age levels.
